I have been very fortunate in the coaches I have selected to work with over the last few years: Julie Chennel, Gerritt White, Steve Sims, Allie Bloyd, and now Mr. Perry Belcher. They were so impactful in my life that for most of these coaches, I became one of their coaches. These are good, genuine people who care about helping others and making this world better.

They also have one thing in common: they have all lost everything and started over again. This means more to me than their success because it means they weren't a fluke and they know loss. This weekend was one of those never-forget moments. Perry and I have been working on a few projects behind the scenes, and we needed to get some things out the door before Monday. So he invited me up to his place for the weekend. Now, if that's not cool enough to hang out with one of your mentors for the weekend, what about actually cooking with them!

During that time, it is so powerful to listen to someone who has built multiple businesses from zero to millions. In telling his stories, you can see the level of wisdom and knowledge he has. He guides with every point and warns you of things you would never think of because you just don't have the wisdom and reps (experience) he has.

I am a believer that everyone needs a coach and mentor. It accelerates your process in learning everything; it cuts the time in half, and I strongly recommend it. These coaches have all made my life better in so many ways. I look for humble ones that have seen massive success and have the thing that I don't. I look for experience and wisdom, not flashiness and fancy cars. I look for people who invite me into their world on a personal level. But overall, I look for kindness.
