From AI marketing bots to website remodels—dive into this week’s top strategies for growth.
Redesigning Our Kitchen: A Fresh Start

We're embarking on a new chapter at home—redoing our kitchen! Since meeting my wife, we've lived in seven different homes, but this is the first time we're taking on a full kitchen remodel. And let me tell you, it’s exciting. There’s something about seeing the space cleared out, making way for the new, that feels incredibly satisfying.
As we’ve been diving into this project, I couldn’t help but notice the parallels between redoing a kitchen and redoing a website. In this first phase, we’re clearing out the old—saying goodbye to outdated appliances, old cabinets, and things that no longer serve a purpose. In the same way, when you tackle a website revamp, the initial step is to strip away the clutter. It’s about removing the outdated elements and content that aren’t adding value anymore, making space for a clean, efficient, and functional design that better serves its purpose.
Just like a kitchen remodel, the excitement comes from knowing that the fresh, new version is on its way, and it’ll be better than what was there before. The kitchen will be more functional, more aligned with our needs, just like a modernized website with streamlined content and an intuitive user experience.
Pro Tip: Whether you’re redoing a kitchen or redoing a website, the key is to start fresh with what you need. Don’t hold onto things out of habit—sometimes less is more.
In the next phases, I’m sure we’ll run into some hiccups (as with any good kitchen remodel), but for now, it’s all about the joy of starting fresh. And if I’ve learned anything from this process, it’s that both kitchens and websites function better when built with intention.

How to create an Ai Marketing Bot Army For Beginners
In this video, we dive into a game-changing tutorial on building your own AI marketing bot army—perfect for beginners. Whether you’re a marketing pro or just starting out, this strategy simplifies how you handle repetitive tasks, freeing you up for more creative and strategic work. The video breaks it down step-by-step, showing how you can deploy bots to handle key marketing functions like copywriting, ad generation, and landing page creation.
Why this matters:
In today’s fast-paced marketing world, automation is essential. By building a bot army, you can streamline your workflows, boost productivity, and even grow your business without adding extra manpower. Let’s walk through the highlights of this process and see how you can set up your bot team!
Key Steps to Building Your AI Marketing Bot Army
Start with a Simple Bot
In the tutorial, the first step involves creating a basic bot that helps with one specific task, like writing website copy. The emphasis is on keeping the bot focused on a single function to ensure it masters that task.Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs)
AI models like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are used to power your bots. These tools can predict and generate content based on instructions and examples, much like a more intelligent Google search. They’re smart enough to generate anything from copywriting to coding.Give Clear Instructions
The better your instructions, the better your bot will perform. Define roles, tasks, and even examples of good work for your bots. The clearer the goals, the more precise and useful the results will be.Daisy-Chain Your Bots
To take things to the next level, you can "daisy chain" bots—where one bot hands off its task to another. For example, after a bot writes a website copy, another bot can take that information and write email sequences or ad copy. This automated chain reaction can dramatically reduce your workload.Automation Tools
Use automation platforms like Zapier or Make.com to connect your bots to different apps and trigger workflows. For instance, you can create bots that automatically generate content when someone fills out a form on your website.
AI Spotlight: How AI is Shaping the Future of Media and Interaction
This week in AI news has been packed with exciting updates, with significant developments coming from OpenAI and Meta, two of the industry's heavyweights. Here’s a deep dive into what’s been happening and why it matters.
Sora AI: OpenAI’s Video Generation Tool
One of the hottest stories surrounds Sora, OpenAI’s AI-powered video generation tool. First unveiled in early 2024, Sora was seen as a breakthrough in AI-driven video creation, allowing users to generate realistic video clips from just a few text prompts. The initial buzz was immense, as the technology demonstrated potential to revolutionize content creation. Investors and developers alike were eager to see how Sora could compete with similar tools such as Runway Gen-3 and Google's Imagen.
However, despite the hype, OpenAI has not yet released Sora to the general public. One of the major criticisms has been the tool's inefficiency. Early tests showed that generating even a short, one-minute video could take up to 10 minutes, making it impractical for users who need quick turnaround times. This long processing time has allowed competitors like Runway Gen-3 to outshine Sora in terms of speed, with Runway producing videos in mere seconds.
Despite these setbacks, OpenAI hasn’t given up on Sora. Reports suggest that the company is working on a new version, tentatively dubbed Sora 2, which promises to be faster, more versatile, and capable of producing longer, higher-quality videos. To achieve this, OpenAI is amassing large datasets of high-resolution video footage, which will allow the model to generate a broader array of styles and subjects.
This new development is critical for OpenAI, as Sora 2 could position the company ahead of its rivals if it delivers on its promise of improved performance. Given that video content is one of the fastest-growing segments of digital media, a successful AI video generator could transform industries such as marketing, entertainment, and education.
Meta Connect: Pushing Boundaries in AI
Not to be outdone, Meta made headlines with its own AI advancements during the recent Meta Connect event. One of the most talked-about updates was the introduction of LLaMA 3.2, the latest iteration of Meta’s open-source AI model. Unlike previous versions, LLaMA 3.2 includes powerful visual understanding capabilities, which allow it to process and generate both text and images. This feature is particularly exciting for developers looking to create AI tools that can handle multimedia tasks more seamlessly.
Meta also showcased its work on voice-based AI interaction, a feature that could redefine how people engage with technology. Users will soon be able to have natural voice conversations with Meta’s AI across platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Facebook. This is a significant shift from the text-based chat interactions most users are familiar with. Meta’s move to incorporate voice functionality aligns with broader trends in AI development, where companies are focusing on making AI interactions feel more human and intuitive.
What sets Meta apart is its ability to scale these innovations quickly. With platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp boasting billions of users, Meta has the distribution power to make voice AI mainstream almost overnight. In an effort to make these interactions even more engaging, Meta has teamed up with celebrities like John Cena and Judy Dench to lend their voices to its AI tools, making the experience both functional and fun.
What It All Means
Both OpenAI and Meta are focusing on different aspects of AI development, but their goals are equally ambitious. OpenAI’s work with Sora represents a push to dominate the emerging market for AI-generated video content. If the new version of Sora can overcome the speed and usability challenges, it could become the go-to tool for creators looking to streamline video production.
On the other hand, Meta’s innovations in voice-based AI interaction and visual understanding aim to make AI more accessible and user-friendly. By integrating these tools across its massive suite of apps, Meta is positioning itself to dominate the way people interact with AI in everyday life. The addition of voice interactions, in particular, could signal a shift in how we engage with digital assistants, moving from typed commands to spoken conversations.

WP Engine vs. WordPress Showdown
WordPress is facing a heated controversy between its founder, Matt Mullenweg, and WP Engine, a major hosting provider. Mullenweg criticized WP Engine for disabling post revision history, claiming it undermines data protection, and accused the company of misleading customers with the use of “WP” in its branding. The dispute escalated to legal battles, with cease-and-desist letters exchanged, leading Mullenweg to block WP Engine from accessing WordPress.org resources. This move disrupted many websites, highlighting deep concerns about trademark usage and control in the WordPress ecosystem.
WP Engine defended its practices, arguing that its use of WordPress-related trademarks falls under fair use and accused Mullenweg of misusing his influence within the open-source community. The temporary block caused significant issues for WP Engine customers, leaving many sites unable to update plugins and exposing them to security vulnerabilities. This raised broader concerns about the power imbalance within WordPress and how trademark governance could impact the community and other open-source contributors.
As the situation unfolded, WP Engine updated its website to clarify its lack of direct affiliation with the WordPress Foundation, rebranding its services to avoid confusion. Despite this, tensions remain high, with the WordPress community increasingly calling for clearer guidelines on the use of the WordPress trademark. Developers and service providers worry about potential restrictions on their use of the platform, and many are now seeking more transparency on how Automattic manages its trademarks.
This controversy raises questions about the balance of power in open-source communities and the potential risks of relying heavily on commercially-backed platforms like WordPress. The ongoing debate has sparked conversations about the future of WordPress governance, and developers are closely watching to see how the situation evolves and what it means for the broader open-source landscape.

Now, let’s break things up with a fun section on the latest and greatest tech or tools we stumbled upon recently. If you’re a tech enthusiast or just like cool gadgets, this is the part for you!
1. Amazon Astro: The Robot for Your Home
This friendly little robot moves around your home, monitors security, and even reminds you of tasks on your to-do list. Amazon’s Astro is designed to make your home smarter and more secure by patrolling while you're away.
Why It’s Cool: Astro can integrate with Ring to monitor for intruders, but it can also bring you a drink (well, sort of). It feels like a real-life version of your favorite sci-fi assistant.
What to Watch For: It’s still early days, and Astro has a hefty price tag. But it’s an exciting glimpse into what home robots can do in the near future.
2. Neuralink: Brain-Computer Interface
Elon Musk’s Neuralink is working to bridge the gap between the human brain and computers. This could revolutionize everything from medical treatments to entertainment by allowing us to control devices with just our thoughts.
Why It’s Cool: Imagine being able to type or play video games just by thinking about it! While Neuralink is still in its experimental phase, it represents the next frontier of human-computer interaction.
What to Watch For: Regulatory approval and public acceptance. This tech is still a ways off for the general market, but it’s making waves in neuroscience and tech communities.
3. Smart Contact Lenses: AR on Your Eyeball
Companies like Mojo Vision are working on smart contact lenses that can project augmented reality (AR) directly onto your eye. These lenses could provide real-time information about the world around you—think Terminator vision but in a stylish, subtle package.
Why It’s Cool: AR experiences without clunky headsets! Whether you’re navigating through a city or getting fitness updates while jogging, these lenses can bring AR into your everyday life without the awkward gear.
What to Watch For: Right now, the tech is still in development, and battery life remains a challenge. But if they pull it off, we could be entering a whole new world of wearable tech.
4. Foldable Phones: The Future of Screens
Foldable phones have become more mainstream, with companies like Samsung, Google, and even Microsoft jumping on board. These devices fold out into tablets, giving users a bigger screen without the bulk.
Why It’s Cool: Portability meets productivity! Foldable screens let you enjoy a mini-tablet experience that fits into your pocket.
What to Watch For: While cool, foldables are still pretty expensive, and durability is a concern. If you’re someone who tends to drop your phone, this might not be for you—yet.
5. LG's Rollable OLED TV: The TV That Disappears
LG has created a futuristic TV that rolls down into its base when not in use. The OLED screen is not only stunning when watching your favorite shows but completely disappears to declutter your living room when you're done.
Why It’s Cool: We’ve all seen big TVs dominate our living rooms. This one folds away seamlessly, transforming your space into something far more versatile and minimalist.
What to Watch For: The price tag is steep (think luxury car-level steep), but it’s a peek into the future of home entertainment.
And that’s a wrap on the cool tech finds! Whether you’re daydreaming about having a house robot or can’t wait for smart lenses to become a reality, these innovations are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
