As a father, there's nothing quite like sharing a passion with your child and creating lasting memories together. This past weekend, my son Truman and I had the incredible opportunity to attend WrestleMania XL in Philadelphia, an event we had been looking forward to for years.
Truman's love for wrestling began when he was just five years old, and over the years, I've taken him to numerous local and live events. However, our dream of attending WrestleMania together was put on hold in 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, after years of anticipation, we made it happen.
The atmosphere at WrestleMania XL was electric. Fans of all ages, both male and female, filled the venue, creating an exciting and family-friendly environment. The energy was electric as we joined the crowd in cheering on our favorite wrestlers.
Throughout the weekend, we were treated to incredible matches, but the highlight for us was the final bout for the Undisputed World Championship between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. This match signified a new era in the WWE and had the entire stadium on the edge of their seats.
One of the most thrilling aspects of the event was the opportunity to see and meet some of the biggest names in wrestling. We had the chance to meet the legendary Undertaker and catch glimpses of The Rock, John Cena, and even special guest Snoop Dogg.
Attending WrestleMania XL together allowed Truman and me to bond in a unique way. For me, it was like being a kid again, sharing the excitement with my son. Even though Truman had drifted away from wrestling over the years, this event reignited his love for the sport.
Beyond the main event, we participated in meet and greets and a special tailgate on night one, adding to the overall experience. Our seats were close to the action, providing us with amazing views and the opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in the exciting atmosphere.
As I reflect on our time at WrestleMania XL, I am filled with gratitude for the lasting memories we created together. The cheering, the fun, and the bonding experience of enjoying the event side by side will stay with us forever. It was a special weekend that reminded me of the importance of quality time with my son and the power of shared passions in strengthening our relationship.
